In Phantom Hollow, Batman tries to unravel the mystery of a witch's curse that may be destroying the entire town. Batgirl has stumbled upon a plot by wig designer Vazly, using wigs that would crush the heads of his victims if they refused to pay him large sums of money. Confronting him, Batgirl is caught off guard and has a wig slapped on her head; however, it's the one that was given to Barbara Gordon (Batgirl's alter ego), and Batgirl had already disarmed it.
