Absolute Wonder Woman reimagines Diana for DC's Absolute Universe, where heroes come of age with fewer advantages—here meaning a Wonder Woman without the island paradise… without the sisterhood that shaped her… without a mission of peace. Instead, this Diana was taken from Themyscira by the Gods as an infant and raised in the Underworld as the Princess of Hell, the last of the Amazons, making her a mythic warrior-queen rather than a symbol of peace.
Absolute Wonder Woman Vol. 1: The Last Amazon
Start here with the collected first six issues! Armed with new weapons forged in Hell and a mission that looks more like justice than peace, Diana will not be stopped on her quest to save the world and discover her place in it, even if that means carving it herself. The volume pairs the opening "Last Amazon" arc with "The Lady or the Tiger," which fleshes out her backstory and the crafting of her Nemesis Lasso.

10/10“Absolute Wonder Woman #1 forges a heart out of heavy metal. While the fundamentals of what makes Wonder Woman so iconic are there, the circumstances have been replaced.”
